Allan and Yba spotted again,

http://www.newsweek.com/siluri...ization-earth-891200

Where are those two bubbas...?

Hunting dinosaurs....

LOL, ancestors...or next-of-kin?

Relatives.....

Btw, I heard they scaped a facility last week. But the handlers rounded them backup and stuck them back with the rest of the baboons.

LOL

Where was this?

I don't recall, just that 4 baboons decided to break out of the facility and worked together to do so.

It was in the papers, so google should work.

Ah ha! Was in San Antonio, TX.

Yeah, I used to get lots of SDA and Mormons knocking on the door. I finally put up a No Soliciting sign in hopes of reducing the number of people who were taking up way too much of my time trying to convert me.

Didn't work. Either they deliberately didn't read it or figured it didn't apply to themselves. So I just quit answering the door.

That works.

Oh dear me.

With the complements of this practising pedant Great Ape:

Baboons are Old World monkeys belonging to the genus Papio, part of the subfamily Cercopithecinae which are found natively in very specific areas of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. The five species are some of the largest non-hominoid members of the primate order; only the mandrill and the drill are larger.

Competition, mate. I'm horrendously outnumbered.

Pity none of them can tell me Cain had to be tattooed so no one else could kill him. Who,exactly?

Nor can they tell me where Cain met his wife, and which city he went to (or is it which city he built?)

Bit of an issue with Nimrod (Sargon the Great? You now, the bloke whose mother had to create a reed ark and sail him off in a handy river, where he was found and brought up by someone unrelated)), too. Creator of the first known empire, he was in control of at least four cities.

Not bad for the third generation of Noah.

Be interesting to run a survey of pew-warmers and see how many can tell me we why, after disobeying God and being punished for his sin, Adam was expelled from that garden in Eden.

Why, too, God confounded our language (which had to be either !Khoi or San) at Babel?

Don't you have any gypsies near you?

They posted one of their signs on my fence and now the Bible-hawkers know not to come in.

Not quite true. Actually I point to a small bookcase and tell them that is just one of three, the others much larger. Then I pick one of my books and use that to show them how wrong they are. Once is enough.

Yes, we have Gypsies here, many of whom are Christian:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0p8UzjaAJo

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0u7Cjnap4c

They do a great BBQ too:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiIzGqVALuM

And even help feed the homeless:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TslOdYE_BbQ

But for me, whenever I find someone of a different denomination, I find no need to "convert" them. Nor do I find the need to convert non-Christians. We are simply to "witness" to them - and sometimes that requires no words at all; a friendly glance will do. Others need a warm blanket, bottle of water, snack pack and/or warm hug or sympathetic face.

I did, no idea if and when I'll read it.

Vicki is ordering a hardcopy too.

Btw Prime rates are going up so you might see if you can renew early before they do.

Yeah,, but even at $119 per year, it's still a bargain - 'cause I use it a lot. And you cannot renew until it runs out - which isn't until November for me.

Pity they did not include an interview. Li has been on the news for a couple of nights, and I have never seen such total self-confidence in one so young.

Not a touch of arrogance, simply an utter belief in himself, looking forward to bigger challenges.

One to watch.

There is one way. Cancel it and then renew, maybe.

Anyway, thought I'd give you a heads up.

Yep, I'm sure lots of people will be pleased to watch him as he meets his challenges. I fully expect he will make quite the name for himself.
