So, what’s up with Sarah Palin?

Please be advised that this post is NOT meant to open a discussion about past, present or future political performance or views of Sarah Palin.
But is instead mean to attempt to identify why, at this time, she is getting 24/7 coverage over the writing of a book and how her presence on the scene may effect your investment decisions.
Q. Is this about selling a book?
Q. Is this about politics ?
Q. Is Sarah Palin changing the psychological demographics of voters and non-voters?

IMO the answers are yes, yes and yes!
But there is more.
IMO she is the launcher of the Republican party’s trial balloons which will set the agenda for the mid-term election and possibly even the next Presidential election.
IMO she may very well be the next Chairperson of the RNC.

We all have seen/can see her M O ( Modus operandi ), the question is:
IYO what is her goal? And will that goal effect your investment strategy?

That is exactly what I just told you it was meant to do!

It was meant to limit the ( your ) discussion to areas related to the BUZZ surrounding Palin, instead of Palin herself.
Some of those area that were discussed on the other board were the press in general, the printed media, TV media, talk radio, voters, non-voters and the RNC and the DNC.
It’s a PBI thing.

Palin is a pretty, entertaining, cutesy perky, joke on the political scene.

She is a caricature of real politicians. She is a sock puppet trained by GOPAC to spew righty talking points but is herself a complete dunce.

I posted that link of the people at her book signing because most of them couldn't describe why they were there and many didn't consider her a real viable candidate. Some of the women were hoping for "talk show host".

I am hoping for talk show host myself. It will quickly show up her deficiencies. Most of the successful ones are all incredibly smart. She isn't.

She was let in the palace as the court jester of politics. Yes, everybody pays attention to the antics of the Court Jester but none would consider the jester should be King.

I think she is a most sad commentary on the Republicans.

She is the epitome of how the wacko Republicans are favoring demagoguery, style, and rhetoric, over substance. That reflects very poorly on them.

I have seen that same basic statement in several different articles and asked myself, why is that?
Why would so many people turn out for a book signing and not know why they were there?

1,000s of people show up and the only information a reported can glean from them is:

Cons have trouble making distinctions. Being unable or unwilling to describe is not the same as not knowing.

Because the truth reflects poorly on them is why they couldn't answer. When questioned by a reporter the expectation is for an answer that has substance. They didn't have any.

OK, she was governor of Alaska, no big deal!
She ran for VP with a total idiot.
She was not the first woman to run for VP.

I haven’t read her book, but I can’t imagine anything being in it that we didn’t already hear or witness while she was running for VP with the idot.

So where, or what, is this display coming from?

I'm serious too, you are delusional.

The only people she has "such a psychological impact on" are the hard core right wacko dittoheads of the Republican party. To say again, all rhetoric no substance. The teabaggers love that. She spouts talking points and was taught to do so. But I almost doubt she knows what they mean.

As I said more than once here, for the majority of people we find her laughingly entertaining. And I enjoy it more as representative of what has happened to the once honorable Republican party.
