This evening my laptop froze and I have been unable even turn if off. The problem could be connected to stactic electrically as I noticed a flash in the botten toolbar when I grabbed a coffee mug that is part alumimun and I didn't think that I bumped the computer or felt any static discharge when I grabbed the mug.
Any advice?

Press the PowerOn button or switch whatever and hold it down for at least 10 seconds. That should turn off the machine. If that doesn't work, disconnect it from power and remove its battery.
