I haven't used it much. I looked at it when it was launched. It's like having a free copy of Mathematica online PLUS it's better than Google's search at giving direct specific answers to questions (as opposed to linking to possible Web pages for finding answers). More people use it than think they use it, because the popular Siri agent on the latest iPhones/iPads gets its answers from Wolfram Alpha! Jeff/CompGuy | |||

It will tell you where objects in the solar system are in relation to earth and the sun in light minutes. It's got many of the formulas built into Mathematica so can be used to solve many physics and math questions. For example, tell it to compute the photon energy for wavelength 418nm: http://www.wolframalpha.com/in...=photon+energy+418nm and see the results in different energy units with the computations and constants used!
