ALL,

We have two MinPin dogs and two Tonk cats. The older cat is going on 16 and the cold weather is not to her liking.

Last night, our younger MinPin came around at 2:00 am to wake us up and led my wife to the back door. The old kitty cat was meowing to get in. The kitty promptly went to her perch on top of the stereo to get warm.

Then everyone got back to bed.

Regards,

Awww... that's very sweet, Glenn.

And proof positive that not all technological advances are for everyone's benefit... I'm thinking of how I've spent decades of m'life watching television w/ a cat draped the top of said TV.

These days a cat would be hard-pressed to find a comfy spot on top of a flat-screen TV.

CJ,

Helga (the young MinPin) jumped up here and wanted to respond, but she is having trouble with keyboarding. (I understand there will be a bark inteface for the computer shortly.)

She said, "I will always take care of Princess!"

(Princess is the old Tonk.)

You are neat. I have enjoyed this board for many years.

Regards,

Cute story Glenn. I put a heating pad on my bed, thinking it would provide me with warm tootsies. This is never to be, as Lou-Lou has taken possession of the heating pad and guards it with her body.

Now, what are Tonk cats?

Koka,

As Sean points out, the full name is "Tonkinese." They are half Burmese and half Siamese. Not a good mix as it turns out. For a Tonk to live as long as Princess has is unusual. Fourteen is considered old for a Tonk.

Back to the fact that your best cat is often the one you pick up at the pound.
