Donald, As we continue to track the apocalyptic prophecies, more incendiary news reaches our ears. It was just reported this morning that the most expensive real estate on the face of the earth goes up in flames! It would be too large a task to reiterate how God's Word fits in with this, so I decided to just pull up some of our recent quotes on this topic about how the LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil! My response was:
There is no doubt but that the 'rider on the white horse' continues to ride and is still in charge! But the very fact that the love of money is the number one headline news story in these final days, with the greed on Wall Street and the financial bailouts, is evidence of how God is working to overthrow the KINGDOMS OF FLESH that seek to overthrow the KINGDOM OF GOD! Sela No objection, although I have certainly benefited from monetary interests. This morning I went by the clinic for a blood test, and I drew a student. She was very nice and did it all in one stick, and I congratulated her. Then I found out they were not paying her, and I added, "You are now part of the (health care) team.' She beamed. There is still a lot of reward in such, and in volunteering, and I benefited from the latter through eleven Veteran's Day programs for resident seniors this week. It was very satisfying, even if I was dog tired at the end. (The missing one was a feeding center closed on Veterans Day.) Will Obama ride a white horse soon? Donald, The white horse is the final horse that comes into play in John's vision; but notice that the keywords about the rider on the white horse are written in Revelation 19:11-13. Also notice the prophecy states that "He had a name written that no one knew except Himself". My interpretation of that passage in "The Final Unveiling" did not go into great detail other than to say that 'the words are self-explanatory'. And the words in verse 13 which state that "his name is called the Word of God" means, according to my commentary, that "when the Son of man appears, he shall appear in the Word as the visible expression of the invisible God. The Lord is present in His Word, for all things of the Word are from Him and relate to Him." (This, of course, means that the teaching of the 'Rapture' is not a literal event, as my writings have stated repeatedly, but is to be taken 'spiritually' which also has been explained many times in my books and newsletters.) So that is how the 'rider on the white horse' is revealed in Scripture. Oh, btw, I noticed that the message of Rev. 19:13 was posted earlier on 10-23-2008; but anyway, the point is that these 'words of prophecy' are vitally important clues to revealing the 'final stage and consummation of the ages' ~~ which, for the sake of explanation, was the purpose of writing my third book, "The Bride's Letters to the Churches", where it is illustrated how the history of humankind unfolds in three stages (pg. 138-139). Thus, as you can see, 'watching' the various events of "The Apocalypse" unfold throughout all these years has been so amazing as to be almost unfathomable! But isn't that the reason God calls prophets and prophetesses ~~ to do the watching, foretelling and proclaiming? That being said, as far as your question as to whether Obama will be metaphorically 'riding a white horse', using that term during the very time we are living in would signify that equality for the black man has been attained with this historic presidential election and 'consummation of the ages' ~~ but will he personally bring in a 'new world of PEACE' is the bigger question. And another question is whether it will be one that agrees with biblical principles since he ran on the platform of the Christian faith. We will watch, wait and see! In the 'consummation of all things' as prophesied in both Daniel and Revelation, 'equality' is one of the goals of the "new heaven and earth" of Revelation 21. (I also stated this in my commentary, pg. 224.) But chronologically, according to prophecy, this will not happen until "GREAT BABYLON" is destroyed, which is something we have been speculating on for a number of years, at least since the Millennium began, and perhaps earlier. My memory is not the best these days unless I take the time to refer to some of our postings over the years, but do not plan on doing it now, perhaps later.  As you know from previous topics, I was a supporter of Hillary Clinton because my political views were oriented towards seeing a woman achieve that high position during the time of the "consummation of all things" since women usually are able to bring 'balance' to male thinking which is a positive goal. But my spiritual eyes tell me that God is revealing to us that the time is still not 'quite ripe' for this to happen. However, what is revealed in this election is that traditional America is in a state of transition, which is a good thing (btw this is also envisioned in the apocalyptic 'final days' ), but whether this transition is for 'better or worse' is the bigger question. Oh, and after just glancing at the TV news, it looks like Hillary could be very well 'passed over' as an appointee to the cabinet because 'Bill is in the way'; at least that is one commentator's opinion. But that is not an issue I care to discuss here on-line, although your topic "White Horses" could very well be a good place.  My main concern is to 'stand upon my watch' and 'watch' to see the reality of earthly things through the lens of God's Word. We live in a fallen world, but John's visions tell us that there will be a 'remnant' of faithful believers holding on to faith and goodness during the 'final days of the fulfillment of prophecy'; and that is the most important foundation upon which Christianity was built. Of course, these are things that a non-Christian does not understand or like to hear, but this is a religious forum and we are here to discuss religion ~~ and/or debate it  And my argument/debate throughout my postings has been, as I am sure everyone has noticed, WWJS. There is a reason for everything, and no matter what the political orientation, Christians must continue their role as responsible citizens which means to follow the words of Scripture. Hmmm, this was also stated earlier, so again, here I am, repeating myself! Christians must also realize that "the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind [humankind], And bestows it on whom He wishes, And sets over it the lowliest of men" which, as shown in the link, has many different interpretations. Applying this to our times means that the Christian objective should be to exhibit the "fruit of the Spirit" through submission to God first and foremost, and then, according to Scripture, to earthly authorities because no authority exists without God's permission. But also we have to look at the totality of Christian teachings and not use and abuse some of these biblical statements as so many have done in the past. Whew!  Looks like I'm getting long-winded again with all these theological interjections, but isn't that what a religious forum is about, debating religion? And since I was trained in Christianity throughout my entire life ~~ from Sunday School during my early years, to catechism instruction, to Christian Day school attendance in the town of my birth, to church attendance, to being a Sunday School teacher during my teens, and later during my 'growing in knowledge' years, to continuing the study of the Bible throughout all my adult years, conducting classes and seminars and whatnot! So the Bible has been so much a part of my life for so many years that I can't even remember a time during my ENTIRE LIFE that it wasn't! So what do you expect to hear, I mean 'read' here in my posts, whether lurking or responding? Also, I should say that asking for the 'forgiveness of sins' through the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross also has been a big part of my life, even with the knowledge that the Lord Jesus Christ through His Spirit has given me, as revealed in my books. So now you know where I'm coming from. Okay, now that that settles that, I will get to back to our time in history and the recent election. While the apostle Paul did say that we should observe all laws and standards of behavior regulated by our human societies (Romans 13:1-8), let me say that this applies as long as those rules of conduct do not violate greater teachings of God (Acts 5:29)! And, politically, within the framework of a democracy (life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness) which America is supposed to enjoy, (and btw, which was violated on my personhood for so many times as my books reveal), we have certain unalienable rights. As Christians, we DO have the right to SPEAK UP if we are dissatisfied with any authority that violates the greater teachings of God; and writing books gave me that right even though there wasn't a publishing company in the whole country, religious or otherwise, that was willing to accept my manuscript, but God found a way!  The 'watchperson' is spiritually prepared to deal with the forces of evil in this world and will faithfully shout out the warning; and Donald, you and I have been 'watchpersons' for almost as long as we have been posting.  Anyway, history has given us plenty of examples of this violation of 'God's greater teachings'; and I have always maintained that it is not fair if certain individuals are disallowed the right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" no matter which political party is in charge of the government. That is one of the reasons my religious and political ideology is 'progressive' not 'fundamentalist' as shown throughout the years of my postings. And now that the 'tables are turned' in another direction with this election, we are given the opportunity to again "be vigilant, be sober" as the faithful "watchperson" who stands, watches, waits and prays ~~ such as we are doing.  Anyway, people know now what we are talking about, right?  Posting this long note has been quite a job, with all the phone calls from various members of the family and other interruptions, and which I didn't intend when I first started composing it. But again, getting back to the subject-matter, does this mean that the 'rider on the white horse' just has to snap his fingers, and say "Abracadabra" to achieve his goals (no matter what his skin color) to bring about the change that people have been breathlessly and magically waiting for? Of course not. The idea of 'change' depends on a person's viewpoints and ideologies, and the kind of 'change' that each person desires. And we see that there is a big split in the country over what 'change' really means, both politically and religiously. Also, as you so well know, I have been trying to bring 'change' to the Christian Church for over four decades, and have been rebuffed throughout that entire time; but this election DOES call the fundamentalist Christian into account, doesn't it? Also, it give us answers as to the meaning of many of the apocalyptic prophecies! Is that why you were inspired to start this topic?  The bottom line is that only with the true Messiah of the heavens, together with the armies following him on white horses will change come about! It's in the Book! Whew! Donald, Take care of yourself, you hear? But don't feel alone, medicine such as Decadron that I take puts me in fog city, too. My dosage is 10 of these critters a week for my blood cancer, and they put me in fog city for the first few days. My oncologist told me to take all ten in one day (Monday) so that by the end of the week the side effects of 'fog city' will be wearing off. And, wow, is he ever right about that!  That's the reason the fog has lifted and I'm posting today! A good way to put it on this topic would be to say that by the end of the week I feel strong enough to jump on my White Horse and go flying through the heavens with the rest of the troops on their White Horses! So here I AM, flying through the heavens and making my appearance! But we better be honest and admit that, in spite of all the power that comes with those armies of White Horses, common sense tells us they can't be led out of the fog without help from humans with horse sense! It's like the old saying, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink! What that means, of course, is that you can lead a horse to water, but if he refuses to drink it, he is doomed to die of thirst! Be assured that the Rider on the White Horse knows how to deal with these stubborn horses. I am amazed at all the good water I find in restaurants, and the troubles with bottled and filtered water I have at home. That squeeze of lemon does help. Since I am not a skilled horseman, I'll let the spiritual forces do the job. Like Obama, they can handle change. (I'm trusting...) Well, one TV is gone, and another is on the way. Donald, Goodness, all this time we have been discussing John's vision of "White Horses" on this topic and out of the blue you bring up a real place on Earth called "Whitehorse", and wonder if it is relevant to this topic! Are you kidding? I have been there personally! I wrote about it in my first book. Whitehorse was almost the place where my story begins in describing my journey to the “Great Wilderness”; and here on this topic, 48 years later, "White Horses" is almost the place where my story ends! Is that a synchronicity or what? Anyway, as I am sure you know, Whitehorse is the capital of the Yukon Territory and is located on the Alaska Highway; and if it wasn't for the fact that the story of my life in Alaska is written in a book, it is quite possible I would have forgotten the details of that first trip over the Alaska Highway. It was quite a turbulent adventure, especially for a young mother with a small child on her way to a new land. As described in my book, I had just gotten married and for the first time in my life, I was leaving my parents, my family, and my loved ones to start a new life in Alaska. It was in March of 1960 and, actually, I had to refer to my book to recall some of the details of that harrowing experience over the Alaska Highway. At that time, in my naiveté, I couldn’t possibly have grasped what was in store for me during those nearly seven years I lived in Alaska, but that trip over the Alaska Highway was a good demonstration of what to expect. Anyway, to make a long story short, we were driving a small Mercedes Benz pulling a 14-foot trailer-house behind us, and the roads were so icy that every time we came to a steep hill on the Alaska Highway, we were in a predicament because we couldn‘t make it over the hill. We would have to back all the way down and try it again. Then the trailer would either criss-cross in the road, or we would land in the ditch and have to wait for someone to come along to pull us out. The temperature was below freezing and it was a very frightening experience. Dangerous, too, especially when it’s dark and you're huddled with your small child in a snow-packed ditch with no engine running and no heat in the car waiting for someone to rescue you! But God was watching over us, and after about three or four panicky incidents of this kind of emergency, He arranged for a wonderful soldier with a nice warm car to drive us all the way to our destination. And that is how I arrived in the land of Santa Claus, North Pole, Alaska! And, of course, we had to go through Whitehorse to get there. Here is what I wrote about Whitehorse:

Sela I once pondered driving tha long road, and indeed found out that my current father-in-law, now deceased, was in the military units that built it, until he got frost bite, and became a stevedore in San Francisco. There I lived during WWII and my wife was born. Initially the town's name was spelled White Horse, but after WWII the spelling was changed to Whitehorse, according to the Wikipedia. The town apparently has 75% of the population of the Yukon Territory. I hope the memories conjured up had some pleasant moments. Look at it this way. My son needs a 'white caring horse' to get back and forth to work. At least the horse wouldn't stop running suddenly because of a mechanical problem! Let me explain. The other night when we were at the church attending a Bible class, my son Ethan called me because his car stalled ('95 Geo ~~ btw, it is partially white so perhaps this is pertinent to the topic after all! ) while he and his friend Tyrone were on their way to an AA meeting at a church. (I take my cell phone with me wherever I go because there usually is some kind of crisis situation with Ethan almost every day.) Tyrone is Ethan's best friend and Afro-American. I mention this because many of Ethan's friends are either Afro-American, Spanish, Asian, or whatever; so we live right in the midst of where the 'poor, lowly, and needy' live, and are well aware of all the problems. Ethan has a good job now on the night shift and we don't want him to lose it. Anyway, we left the Bible class, drove all the way to the highway where he and Tyrone were waiting. It was starting to snow so we decided to take them home and come back for the car the next morning, which we did. What a mess with the traffic after a big snowfall, but we were able to tow the car home behind ours without causing any problems. The Geo is beyond repair (too expensive to repair for what it's worth) and my son needs transportation. With my deteriorating health problems, neither my husband or son wants me to be driving so much like I did during the spring and summer when Ethan lost his license, and, hopefully, I won't have to be driving much during this winter weather. But even though he now has a valid license, it is still one thing after another with his transportation. I even said to him the other day, "See what happens when you don't follow the rules? Problems for everyone!" Ethan is well aware of that, but in the meantime, he needs transportation to work so we arranged for him to borrow the car we bought from his friend Tyrone whose landlord said he was going to have towed away if he didn't get rid of it. It is a '79 classic Thunderbird (with low mileage) which Ethan said is the last one of its kind and its value is worth far more than what we gave Tyrone for it. But that is neither here nor there, the problem is that there are a number of mechanical problems with it, like the fuel pump going out, etc.; and it has been stalling on Ethan, and right now it is in a repair shop to find out why it stalls after driving for some distance. So we still need to take Ethan back and forth to work so he doesn't lose his job; and when Roy is on a certain shift he can't help. So my other son Nathan stepped in and took Ethan to work last night. I was worried I might have to bring him home this morning, but he text messaged me during the night that I didn't have to because he could catch a ride with one of his co-workers. Thank goodness for that. But that is the gist of some of the 'busy activities' that prevent me from posting much every day! Besides that, there is so much that needs to be done in this house and we can't afford maid service, so I do what I can. Lois Cars? I have three 1992 models, so far all functional, but who wants to drive them on the highway. Sounds like Tyrone's car needs a cleaning of the carbeurator and or fuel pump. Here's another thought. Remember that adage, "You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink"? A corrolary is one can go to the dentist, but it takes something more to follow the advice given. The white horses of the armies of Heaven are fed and watered spiritually. There is an ad currently on TV where someone in in a vehicle in the air has mutchers come alongside, cannot get what they want, and crash through the clouds. The armies at their task are also like a horse raise, where the grouping keeps them together and going. I describe this in "Old Coyote's Ride". The armies of Heaven even enter Heaven after the Battle of Armageddon in an orderly manner, like our troops in the ticker tape parade after WWII. William, even though the battle is spiritual, the soldiers and Christ can well acquire some effects of battle needing washing, and I am sure there is a passage of all through the River of Life for that washing. Donald, The battle still wages with the white horses, and the armies of the White Rider are certainly connected with the destinies of the people on Earth; but since it is Christmas Eve, we wouldn't mind at all if Santa brought us some white horses to get through all the snow, especially since we are still having problems with Tyrone's car! The brakes went out but Ethan is working on them so he can join us at the family gathering tonight. Sela I was thinking of you on Christmas, and like you, there are bumps in the road. One bump for this string, per horse owners, is that there are horses that never turn white. Since white robes are the garb for forgiven sinners, who are of many colors, I haven't answered the problems of sufficient horses and the various colors. As one owner noted, her white horse is not white because he loves to roll in the dirt. That suggests that there is a means for changing color for the horses, at least a bath. Maybe the horses have white robes also? Of course, we would hope the saddle is secure. Donald, Just thought I would continue this string since we discuss a few personal things here, too. The truth is that there are usually so many things going on with my family that it is not always easy to find time to post, but this topic is crucial in the final 'scheme of things' as far as The Apocalypse is concerned. I usually don't discuss my health on these public forums, but even though my BJ Protein count is good, I do have a tough time getting around because of my swollen feet, which comes about with all the medication I have been taking. But like my son Nathan says, "Mom, it's a miracle that you can even walk at all, so we have much to be thankful for. We know that God works miracles, and He sure has shown that with you!" Sela It depends on which side of the eruption of Mount Redoubt you want to be on. I'm thinking that, despite the usual explosive eruptions of Alaskan volcanoes, Mount Redoubt might prove a wimp. It seems that Alaskans have been preparing for a possible explosion of volcanic ash descending on them by stocking up on protective eyewear and masks. And in conjunction with the Apocalypse, if it happens on Ash Wednesday, it certainly would be a good sign that THE END IS NEAR!  Ash Wednesday is the day that forces Christians to face their own mortality and sinfulness, and is the first day of Lent which starts in three weeks. The reason it is called Ash Wednesday is because that is the day Christians have their foreheads marked with ashes in the shape of a cross. In the Bible a mark on the forehead is a symbol of a person's ownership. By having their foreheads marked with the sign of a cross, this symbolizes that the person belongs to Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross. This day, actually, is the first focal point of a life that takes Jesus seriously ~~ that radical centering in the Spirit of God should be at the very center of the Christian life; but how many Christians these days take that seriously? Also, after the clergy person makes the Sign of the Cross on each person's forehead, he/she says, "Remember, man, that you are dust, and to dust you shall return". I recall writing about Ash Wednesday in one of my books, but frankly, off the top of my head, do not recall which book or page; but can say that those ashes from Mount Redoubt is a grim reminder that the Apocalypse will soon explode!

Sela A neighbor a week ago commented by email that "the Devil is in the White House". The news last night on Comcast mentioned that Palin was having dinner with Obama there. Friday my wife and I had dinner at a Mexican restaurant, and our waitress was a young Palin look-a-like. The stock market was dropping at noon, with three 7's in the quote. Arizona almost won the Super Bowl, but they at least made the Steelers work for their win. The sun is shining brightly, and while NOAA predicted a dry and warm three months, the word is that January was Albuquerque's warmest on record. There are no horses in my visible life, just two dogs, a wife and a accordion. My taxes were accepted electronically, with refunds from both Fed and State, but I hear California is giving IOU's. The tax paperwork on Bush's May distribution suggests someone wants accountability. I have a Jeep that won't start, while for months by pushing on the shift and turning the key I had been able to start it. Never had a car to that before. What a puzzle! I suspect there are a number of things we shall have to wait for, one of them being "get put to work" by Obama. I even had a phone call just now from a doctor who wanted to refer me a patient. Donald, Strange things are happening. When I posted that earlier note, I also had written another one but it would not post! Instead, the message "This page cannot be displayed" popped up and I couldn't get back on Aantares! Then my husband came into the bedroom (he is taking a few more days off because of doctor's appointments and other goings on) and he said I should call my granddaughter and tell her yes, that we would meet with her this afternoon and he would buy us lunch. She had called earlier. So I logged off and we left the house to meet April. But if someone is hacking into my computer that is also a form of terrorism, so am still grappling with that issue. We have discussed this off-line and wasn't sure I wanted to post it publicly, but decided to anyway because supposedly we live in a FREE COUNTRY where it should be SAFE to discuss issues that opponents HATE to hear about, such as JESUS CHRIST and the POWER OF PROPHECY! Texe Marrs is that conspiracy theorist who beams his theories to over 125 nations around the globe. I think we had debates about this on the old Prodigy Bulletin Boards. Now if you want to talk about controversial figures in the religious world, Marrs would probably be number one! And undoubtedly, we could say this message I decided to post would probably be number two for controversial postings ~~ which undoubtedly will bring on more terrorism for the riders on the WHITE HORSES! But you see, Donald, that is all part of the apocalyptic conflict that John envisions as the FINAL PHASE of this great struggle on Earth when the powers of the Adversary were "cast out into the Earth" where they give full vent of their rage! And here, in Chapter 19, they make assault upon the armies of the WHITE HORSES in a thousand different ways which, according to prophecy, have to work themselves out in ever greater historic crises and catastrophes! Thus, if we look more closely at apocalyptic prophecy, it reveals that HUMANS must finish the work begun by the Angels' victory in Heaven. Oh my goodness, this is an unexpected revelation that was given to me as I was typing this; so that certainly reveals that the same Spirit that created the world is in charge of the world who reveals the world's destiny through HIS WORD!! Goodness, this also gives us more inspiring answers as to what to expect as we proceed in this cyberspace drama from act to act until we come to the FINAL ACT ~~ which is DESTRUCTION OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT NOW! And another thing. The last act on this great apocalyptic stage coincides with the number nine which we have discussed previously. All the other numbers have already been acted out except the fall of Whore Babylon ~~ which we also have discussed previously. That is why Chapter 19 and the year 2009 is not only most critical to earth's survival, but also shows how leaders and rulers have laid themselves wide open to possession by demonic powers, which prompted them to declare themselves as Gods, and to claim that divine homage and automatic obedience belongs to them! That's what the Bible states! They think they are GOD! But does HE/SHE have a surprise for them! But the biggest puzzle is: "Will 'all these things' happen by 9/9/09?"
