Here is another quirk.

Last week seemed to be one where many were prone to falls. While I was playing my accordion ladies in two different places slipped out of their wheelchairs, but didn't get hurt. The staff overreacted in each place.

Obama has had two cabinet candidates withdraw, and another should have.

New Mexico Legislature is having a hard time dealing with a whopping deficit related to the government's income from oil.

Today I saw a Chrysler minivan younger than mine stuffed to the brim. It was at a senior feeding center. The place was full today for lunch.

At one place there was a birthday, and I got to play Happy Birthday and enjoy some ice cream, plus meeting people from the church where I was married.
There is some evidence the white horses are protected.

Donald,

There certainly is evidence of that for true and just are his judgments.

Appropriating words from Revelation, we know that the sealed people of God (Chapter 7) are protected. There is also clear evidence that at least some part of the divine judgement in the Last Days will be through the unwitting medium of mortal men (cp Zec 14:13; Isa 9:4; 24:19,20; Hag 2:22; Eze 38:21). As God used ruthless ambitious Jehu to work out His purpose with the harlot priestess Jezebel, who sought the lives of prophets and faithful men, so He again harnesses selfish men of power to the final destruction of a corrupt system.

Looks like that is what's happening as we speak! Would like to do more commentary but just got back from a wedding shower and thought I would log on for a few minutes.

More later.

Oh, another thing, Donald. When I logged on, the main headlines was about "Hell in all its fury"!

Lots of commentary there! Think what a nuclear war would do!!? Unfortunately, we live in a world where it seems LEADERS DO NOT THINK!

I note this hell is in Australia.

The thought comes to mind that God can use nature's extremes for his purposes, just through what is built into the system, e.g. ice age or global warming.

The documentation on public television is remarkable in its depth.

One project I have for those wanting to ride white horses is to find the hymns and choruses that spiritually uplift the depressed Christian caught in these crises, including economic ones. The latest ones I have found are the ones emphasizing "Holy, Holy, Holy", both classical and modern. I think this gives Believers the spiritual boost they need to discern the true Messiah, and to discern which rider on a White Horse is the one to follow. Another similar chorus that warms my heart is "To Him Who Sits on the Throne". This is probably not in most mainline hymnals.

Let us not forget the example in the Book of Daniel of the three in the fiery furnace.
quote:
Daniel 3:24Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.

25He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

26Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

We cannot forget the importance of fire in eschatology, but how many times is the fire manmade, arson and criminal, even if set up by natural forces? But God provides.

I see in the news that Pakistani physicist Khan was released today from house arrest, which they claim was really security for him. He apparently has prostatic cancer and the only travel outside the country he wants to do is go to Mecca.

Iran already has the plans for the atom bomb from him. Maybe they will meet for coffee and clear up some misunderstandings? Frown :(

In the Septuagint (and the Vulgate), this section includes a prayer by Azariah and a song by all three of the young men. It is a liturgical favorite, so to speak, in the Orthodox Church. In the liturgical musical form of a "canon", two of the nine "odes" take this prayer and song as their starting point. (The odes are based on the several songs in the Old Testament plus the Magnificat in the New Testament.)

Fascinating source reference.

The prayer tells me a lot about the times it was written, using the Daniel event as a whole view. It makes me wonder what influence it had on the Maccabean era. Those Jews certainly were empowered, until Greeks came and all those Hebrew children got named Alexander. Alexander had a famous black horse.

Donald,

After being gone all day (I'll tell you about it later) and logging on now, it is absolutely amazing how our personal God in Jesus Christ to whom we are bonded with, synchronizes HIS WORD with our word on today's MSNBC headline news!

quote:
Four sisters, four weddings — in one year
It’s one down, three to go for Jeff and Cheryl Whitaker’s daughters
“It’s like watching a movie happen right before my eyes,” dad Jeff Whitaker told TODAY. “It’s a real adventure. I never had the feeling that they would all be engaged together, but as soon as the youngest [got engaged] we had a fear, and then it worked its way up the ladder.” http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29083372?GT1=43001

Even more amazing is that the name 'Whitaker' strikes a bell with the people we knew in Alaska. They were members of the same church we attended, Zion Lutheran Church, and also friends of ours, which I wrote about in my first book. So the grandparents could very well be related to the Whitakers we knew in Alaska!

Of course, all the things I wrote about happened almost half a century ago; but the power is in the words of Christ that 'there would be marrying and giving in marriage,' until the final day ~~ for few would be aware of it, same as in the days of Noah!

quote:
37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Donald,

It occurred to me that Jesus' prophecy in Matthew 24 is on the Internet, so thought I would provide the link.

http://www.biblegateway.com/pa...%3A1-28;&version=50;

It is almost unfathomable how knowledge has increased with the invention of the Internet by GOD HIMSELF!

Well, as long as I AM at it, I might as provide the link to the entire chapter of Daniel 12, which also is related to the final days.

http://www.blueletterbible.org...b=Dan&c=12&v=3&t=KJV

Daniel 12:4 also states that 'many shall run to and fro' which means transportation would be at unfathomable heights, same as knowledge!

And believe you me, were we ever 'running to and fro' today, with my clinic appointment and then after that, picking up my son Ethan to drive around all over in trying to get another vehicle for him, since the T-Bird (mentioned earlier) needs to be replaced; and we are getting tired of taking him back and forth to work all the time. We succeeded in getting a '94 Saturn from a person on Craig's List for $400.00 that he had contacted. The seller wanted $800, but Ethan, being the talker that he is, was able to negotiate him down to half of what his asking price was, because work has to be done on that car, too.

Ethan just called to say he is on his way to work with it, and hope this one works out for him! If not, we will have to start looking for a white horse for him to ride to work! At least they don't have tires and motors that have to be replaced! Thumbs Up-Wink :tuw:

Sela

Hmmm, as I was logging out, happened to notice all the "9's" in the date and time! Another sign?

One reason why I wrote Son of Coyote and placed Jesus on Earth as a wrangler was that he should know the horses of Heaven as well as he knew the Saved.

The white horses of Heaven, of course, are perfected.

I have three 1992 cars, one I cannot start, one that has a blinking red light, and one that before it is warmed up likes to meow like a cat through the automatic transmission's gear. The latter apparently has some ice in the fluid that has to melt.

I don't think socialism gives people perfect cars. Smile-Big :D

It sounds like another plane downed by external forces, maybe ice?

At least Sully could see where he could land. Such sorrow for the families!

Donald,

It is so amazing how God works in so many different places at so many different times! My daughter-in-law Cheri (married to my oldest son Tim) just called me a little while ago about WHITE HORSES! Happy

She wants to take a group of children (she operates a day-care) including her own daughter, our beautiful little Angela, to the World Famous Road Tour of the Lipizzaner Stallions coming next week to the Target Center here in the Land of the Lakes. Angela is 10 and loves horses so much that I remember whenever they would come over to visit, she usually would bring along plastic or stuffed horses to play with in the house. I am sure this show will be the highlight of her life! Smile :)

Cheri thought we might be able to get a discount on the tickets since some of our family members work there, but after checking it out, it seems doubtful. Most places are laying off their people and not giving out bonuses or discounts on entertainment during this recession which is leaving many workers in limbo. The cost to see this show is anywhere from $68 to $168 per ticket.

Say, you don't suppose those greedy rich elite who stole three trillion dollars from our pockets would be willing to give up some of that money to furnish a frontseat to our future generation watching those big beautiful white horses jumping and leaping around with their amazing feats?!

Don't hold your breath; but watch for the great Horseman of the skies coming down to earth riding on his white charger as an instrument of the unexpected! Flame Big :flame2:

I saw the Lippizaners perform in Vienna in the 1960's in their home ground.
They are truly amazing. Imagine what it costs to transport them from Europe to America and then around this great nation.

I do hope you can find a way to see them.

Donald,

It occurred to me that there was something I wanted to post the other day, February 12, regarding the significance of that date. The news media focused on Lincoln's 200th birthday anniversary, but did you know that Charles Darwin was born on the very same day and the very same year? How is that for a coincidence that changed the world?

quote:
How's this for a coincidence? Charles Darwin and Abraham Lincoln were born in the same year, on the same day: Feb. 12, 1809. As historical facts go, it amounts to little more than a footnote. Still, while it's just a coincidence, it's a coincidence that's guaranteed to make you do a double take the first time you run across it. Everybody knows Darwin and Lincoln were near-mythic figures in the 19th century. But who ever thinks of them in tandem? Who puts the theory of evolution and the Civil War in the same sentence? Why would you, unless you're writing your dissertation on epochal events in the 19th century? But instinctively, we want to say that they belong together. It's not just because they were both great men, and not because they happen to be exact coevals. Rather, it's because the scientist and the politician each touched off a revolution that changed the world.

These two great minds not only shared birthdays but they led parallel lives. Not only that, without these two great icons of the 19th century, there would never have been the great changes made in the thinking processes of the people at that time so that, as prophesied, the promise of a 'new world' and 'new knowledge' would take place in the Millennium!

Behold, I make all things new!

As you know, throughout our postings on these forums, synchronicity has always been a fascinating subject and we have debated it many times. Also, as we so well know, even our own ordinary lives are full of significant events, such as the fact that both of our fathers share the same birthday.

The point to be made is that there is a deeper meaning to synchronicity than most people realize, and even scientists have explored the subject. What we do know for sure is that synchronicity is not random chance but a divinely ordained phenomena, same as creation, same as predestination, same as the writings of Scripture, same as the BIRTH OF CHRIST!

God's Almighty Wisdom purposed synchronicity so that the greatness of His Word would be seen the world over!

This is Wisdom from the Universe speaking! Smile :)

Sela

P.S. I didn't know whether to post this message here or to the other topic, but they appear to be synchronizing, also. Wink ;)

The assertion about Darwin I understand, but what thinking process was changed by Lincoln?

If it's the abolishment of slavery, the U.S. was not the first; Tsar Alexander II of Russia freed nearly 23 million serfs before the U.S. Civil War even started, for example. The U.S. was the only country that preceded emancipation with a war; all the rest were relatively peaceful, except perhaps for Haiti which was the result of a slave revolution. Lincoln's famous Emancipation Proclamation was not at all what people who haven't actually read it imagine it to be; it excluded emancipation for all slaves in Union states and controlled territory, and was only a threat of what the Union would do when it won if 'rebel' states didn't return to the Union by a certain date. And Lincoln didn't start the war to end slavery anyhow, but rather to prevent his being the President who presided over the break up of the (in his view, indissoluble) Union, with the ensuing political and economic consequences for the part that was left, and he was ultimately willing to let 620,000+ people die by Americans killing Americans to achieve that end, not to mention the general devastation of the already poor South.

Or if you mean rather a change in thinking from the U.S.'s founding as a voluntary union of states for their mutual benefit, to a more nationally oriented entity ruling its provinces from the center for the benefit of powerful interests, such as the Northern industrialists; and if you mean the consequent expansionist vision of the U.S. not just across its own territory (never mind the people who already lived there) but ultimately all around the world--then yes, I'll grant you he accomplished that.

Here are some more people of note who were born on February 12:

quote:

Also Born on February 12
Cotton Mather, clergyman and writer (1663)
Charles Darwin, naturalist (1809)
John L. Lewis, labor leader (1880)
Anna Pavlova, ballerina (1881)
Omar Bradley, general (1893)
Costa-Gavras, director (1933)
Bill Russell, basketball player (1934)
Judy Blume, writer (1938)
Christina Ricci, actor (1980)

That is pretty much of a spread, and only tells me anyone could have been born on 2/12. Five were in some aspect of the entertainment business, and Lewis and Bradley were fighters for their causes.

Stephen,

The thought processes in white man's head that slaves were property and less than humans, same with the thought processes that some men have toward women.

I agree that this change in people's 'thinking process' didn't happen overnight, but it was nevertheless a milestone in the process of emancipation. Wouldn't you agree that when something becomes officially outlawed, people's 'thinking processes' change, too? It may not be for the better, but nevertheless, a change in thoughts occur.

Donald,

Are you saying that everyone born on February 12 revolutionized history? Confused

I had a friend in Alaska who was born on February 12 and we used to celebrate her birthday, but she did not dramatically change the course of history.

Sometimes I think that men don't have a clue as to what women are saying ~~ but there is a reason for that, too. Smile-Big :D
