This graph shows world population still growoing:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F...lation-1800-2100.png

In the Wikipedia article it comments that even for the low UN estimate, the growth continues.

The growth, of course, is in spite of available birth control, which is not available to many women.

Donald,
Yes. Increased longevity offsets decreased fertility. Population growth will continue until the death rate is greater than the birth rate.

Nice restatement.

Here's another milestone: If the Temple Mount is forcibly occupied by Islamic structures, and conservative Jews are practicing to reestablish the Jewish Temple, will such latter event mark the New Jerusalem this time around?

The rise of the Moslem Brotherhood to power in Egypt may also be a sign, possibly of another war for Palestine and Jerusalem. Palestine President Abbas also appears to be energetically and successfully adding strength to the Palestinian cause.

In the meantime Jewish immigrants continue the faith Aliyah to reinforce Jewish strength, despite a high percentage of poor Israelis.

There is a fog in the events over there, but it lifts occasionally to help us see what is going on.

Donald,
I must defer to your assessment of mid-Eastern affairs since you know much more about them than do I. I expect the conflicting interests of the Palestinians and Israelis to escalate into armed conflict and that we will be drawn into it as allies of Israel. I dread that eventuality because I am sick to death of wars.

Ditto.

OTOH there are natural disasters enough to fill everyone's cup of tea. Here is an Israeli site documenting earthquakes, but currently incomplete (last 25 quakes list omitted). In my watching I did see a 7M quake just outside the mouth of the Gulf of Aqaba, years ago.

I have been following Gamma-ray Bursts from outer space, but none I have seen have been a threat. Even the Sun seems in a quieter mode than usual. Mankind, as usual, is our worst enemy.

I met you one time. My mother Sela Juneau is in hospital and very sick. She may not be able to post again. Jesus will be calling her soon. I asked God if what she says is true and that night I had a lucid dream taking me straight up from the ground into space, to the earth dissappeared...then the galaxy dissappeared...many galaxies passed...then I was in the outer edge of the universe where stars were being born and I felt as I nearly went to the bright light...I felt God's presence and I woke up. That is a short version. I have known her for my entire life and believe what she says. I believe that when she passes all the earthquakes and apocolypse will happen. I believe God does not want her to see all that.

Thanks much for the update on your mother. She was a stalwart on Aant Hill, and added much color and interest. I'll still hope and pray we can hear from her, and I am glad family is close.

The thought had passed my mind that she didn't want to see the fulfilment of Revelation 16:18, but God controls our passing.

I remember meeting with you while you were in Albuquerque working on traffic control lights with an associate. Your good work continues to help traffic here.

Give my regards to your mother, and I'll just wait with her other associates here to hear news.

God bless and keep you all,
Donald

Today I discussed the New Jerusalem with my pastor. To update him on my writings I found my book and am looking for the next. I did find the following conclusion to the latter:

quote:
This is my vision of Heaven, an interactive place for Earthlings.
(the 8th page of my poem, "Old Coyote's Ride")

"All praise to God, who reigns above.
Give thanks for his glorious name and works,
He triumphed again with a fearsome love.
Rejoice in his faithful and merciful quirks.

"We angels are his, all men chose their fate,
the horses then crowns are part of his promise.
We formed the army on the final date,
and forever in triumph leave doubting Thomas."

They sang as they rode and rose to the city.
They and their robes they washed in the stream.
As they dried in the light the jokes were witty.
Big trees bore fruit consumed by each team.

Refreshed, the columns walked through the gates
that shone with the colors of many stones.
Each entered a golden street, leaving hates.
Coyote rode straight, as one who owns.

Jesus' at the head went straight to the throne
that stood in the middle of this golden town.
He watched in review as each human alone
received from his angels the promised crown.

Dead men of Earth lay where they fell,
their bones not to move for a thousand years.
Both dead and alive who rose, they tell,
in following Jesus' on the ride of fears,

now lived in Heaven, bright cube from above
Where water runs from the top to the dirt
in a river of unending life and love.
The people gave thanks they no longer hurt.

So now they have a life of praise.
They always sing when he is near.
The one who gave his life and ways
Now lives, is well and gives them cheer.

Note the element of horses and the rise of the dead in Christ.

This book always assumed a heat event on the planet and the air was the active place for both the living and the dead in the End Times.

Earlier I noted the sale of the Son of Coyote book on the Internet, but I forget if the poem, Old Coyote's Ride, was included.

Here is something from Proverbs that might be apropo of the New Jerusalem:

quote:
Proverbs 30
7 Two things have I asked of You,O Lord;
deny them not to me before I die:
8 Remove far from me falsehood and lies;
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with the food that is needful for me,
9 Lest I be full and deny You and say, Who is the Lord?
Or lest I be poor and steal, and so profane the name of my God.
NIV

It seems to apply the worth of adequate income in any time.

Donald,
Well, maybe three things! I suppose we all become a little greedy when there is no charge for supplicating.

Picky, picky...Smile-Big :D

Since we would have just arrived in New Jerusalem, we'd probably be ready for the bread lines. Since the job fairs ould be unfamiliar, and in unfamiliar languages, the exclusion from your [2] is almost a given, while we may have a choice on sustenance.

I'll stick with the original two, and hope there are sufficient angels to guide the way.

Donald,
As my calculations have shown, there is not room enough on earth for everyone after resurrection. I realized just now that the problem could be solved by reducing human's to the size of ants. The prime difficulty with this solution may be that an ant's head is too small to contain the molecules needed to construct a human brain; on the other hand it might not matter because humans don't use their brains a lot in any case.

LOL

While ant-dom is worth considering, as considering the Aant-Hill,
I would pose the possibility of soul without physical structure, yet still recognizeable with the physical senses remaining. In fact, in my long dormant book, Old Coyote's Ride, I have angels passing through the walls of tanks much as Jesus passed walls after the Resurrection. Also consider that Jesus in his perfected form rose into the clouds in his lightness, yet recognizeability.

Another note I make in that book is that only the Saved rose into the sky, while the other Dead remained on Earth for a thousand years. Surely that would ease up the population problem. Smile-Big :D

BTW I mentioned the book in my long string on WHITE HORSES.

These questions may sound silly, but...
Does Jesus have a beard?
What are the names of his and her horses?
Is her guardian angel in attendance?

The Bible says to have no fear, but to rest in the Spirit.

Our prayers continue for her and the whole family.

This weekend of the Super Bowl game we sit in waiting for the wrath of anger to appear: There are thousands of missiles in Lebanon threatening Israel. The nuclear scientists in Iran are falling like flies. Abbas and Hamas appear to have found some common ground. The wooden bridge from the Western Wall to the Temple Mount has been declared by Irsaelis to be unsafe and condemned for replacement. The Jordanians have demanded the Jordan River valley, which tourists drive/ride from Jericho to Galilee. Israel is in a drought, but technology is helping use the last drop. Convoys to relieve Gaza so far have been unsuccessful, despite Israel actually using truck convoys of relief supplies. The IDF is taking out rocket launchers in Gaza left and right. Egypt has agreed to monitor borders between the Sinai and Israel, despite more unfriendliness. Israel has opened a major air force base in the Negev, but understands how impenitrable Iranian nuclear facilities are becoming.

Lest all forget, Jerusalem is a city built with and on rock. The city is the THIRD major city in Islam, but which the Prophet only visited in a dream on the way to visit Heaven. Thus Muslim pilgrims visit to renew their own hopes of Heaven. Obviously they really look forward to going to Heaven as a result. Such also jives with Revelation comments of the need for a New Jerusalem, as well as the Jewish historical claim of primacy. Jesus, of course, died on the cross outside the city walls, setting a precedent for the continuing destructions of the Old Jerusalem.

Earthquakes do occur rarely in Israel, but here is a map so the continuing quakes in Greece, the Aegean, Turkey, Iran and around the Arabian Peninsula: http://www.emsc.csem.org/

Donald,
Your expectations for this year are certainly disturbing but—I suppose—quite reasonable. It does seem almost certain Israel will attempt to destroy Iran's nuclear installations sometime before this coming summer. I'm not sure that action will cause the Arab nations to unite in military attack on Israel but that seems probable to me. In the event of an all-out Israeli-Arab war, our alliance with Israel will guarantee our participation. I dread the consequences.

The times are different. Some Arabs support Israel against what they regard as a common enemy. Many of those countries with active revolutions may need the military to maintain social order.
The Al Qaeda revolutionaries are still not a national government, although the Taliban are more organized that way.

Israel appears to be waging a defensive war against Iran and its satellites, trying not to provoke a catastrophic war.

Sean,

I don't know for sure what will happen, but President Obama is giving Israel as strong a support as he feels he can.

In church today the Sunday School gave a home made skit on what is happening, talking about the destruction of Jerusalem. They all wore white tops and black trousers or skirts. Our last hymn was the stalwart's, ARE YE ABLE? The service definitely prepared us for something coming, and the asssitant pastor, who was going to give that sermon next week, was moved up. The given reason was the absence of the senior pastor to hold the funeral for his grandfather, who died last Thursday. He will give his sermon on the Garden of Gethsemane next week instead.

Getting thick here, and I am only an observer, although I do talk in line to both pastors after services.

To be continued,
Donald

Here is the latest on US/Israel relations per US Supreme Court:

quote:
Arutz Sheva Daily Israel Report
http://www.IsraelNationalNews.com

Tuesday, Mar. 27 '12, Nisan 4, 5772

The US Supreme Court has returned to the lower court a decision whether Menachem Binyamin Zivotofsky's passport can list “Jerusalem, Israel' as his place of birth.
The case has made its way all the way through the entire United States court system, from the district court, through the court of appeals, and up to the highest court in the land.
But on Monday, March 26, Supreme Court justices sidestepped the delicate issue of Menachem Zivotofsky v. Hillary Clinton, as had all the adjudicators before them.
In their decision, the justices wrote, “Congress enacted a statue providing that Americans born in Jerusalem may elect to have “Israel” listed as the place of birth on their passports. The State Department declined to follow that law, citing its longstanding policy of not taking a position on the political status of Jerusalem.

.........

The justices then bluntly spelled out for their colleagues in the lower courts what is next to be done:
“In this case, determining the constitutionality … involves deciding whether the statute impermissibly intrudes upon Presidential powers under the Constitution. If so, the law must be invalidated and Zivotofsky's case should be dismissed for failure to state a claim.
If, on the other hand, the statute does not trench on the President's powers, then the Secretary must be ordered to issue Zivotofsky a passport that complies...”

Here's an interesting way to build a New Jerusalem, secure the Old One:

PENTAGON TO PRESS FOR MORE MONEY FOR IRON DOME
by Elad Benari

The Pentagon will press Congress for additional money for the Iron Dome missile defense system, The Associated Press reported on Tuesday.

“Supporting the security of the state of Israel is a top priority of President Obama and Secretary (Leon) Panetta,” AP quoted Pentagon press secretary George Little as having said in a statement.
“The Department of Defense has been in conversations with the government of Israel about U.S. support for the acquisition of additional Iron Dome systems and intends to request an appropriate level of funding from Congress to support such acquisitions based on Israeli requirements and production capacity,” Little added.
The Pentagon’s statement cited the effectiveness of the system, which reportedly intercepted 90 percent of missile attacks on urban centers during the recent escalation in rocket attacks from Gaza towards Israel.
The Pentagon statement provided no specific numbers but congressional aides said a possible request would be the purchase of 10 battery systems at a cost of $50 million each.
Congressional Democrats welcomed the Pentagon announcement as a fresh sign of the administration standing with Israel.
“Iron Dome is a game changer,” Berman told AP. "The threats Israel faces from incoming, indiscriminate terrorist rocket attacks are countered by this cutting edge anti-missile system. Iron Dome is fundamentally shifting political, diplomatic and military realities on the ground, while saving lives of innocent Israelis.
On Monday, for the first time since entering operational use, the Iron Dome battery was positioned in the greater Tel Aviv area.
According to a report on the Israel Defense website, the position of the battery is for training purposes, to familiarize IDF soldiers stationed in the area with the system, and to adapt the system to the area’s requirements.

Did I miss posting my theory about the White Throne Judgment and the Chosen People? Sean challenged me with the number of humans since Christ died, which spurred my imagination.

The Chosen People are the traffic control. Smile-Big :D

That means Islam will not conquer Jerusalem this go-around, even if they supply the crowns for the Saved.

Another thought:

If banks are buying up their national bonds, will they have enough to loan customers?

Another thought:
If China has a trillion dollars invested in US Bonds, what is being used for collateral for their issuance? The most liquid assets of government are the mortgage lending departments, which would be more valuable if foreclosures happen after the first late mortgage payment. So could China actually fund those departments directly?

There is no collateral behind U. S. Treasuries. They're backed by what's called "the full faith and credit" of the U. S. government.

I don't know what you mean by government mortgage lending departments. Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae don't issue mortgages. They securitize mortgages by issuing mortgage-backed securities. Those are separate from the Treasuries.

So what you're saying here makes no sense whatever to me.
