| Inconsiderate Airline Passengers

I recently flew from Tampa to Newark through Atlanta. When boarding the plane in Atlanta there was a lengthy delay caused by 2 people trying to jam 2 oversize pieces of luggage in the overhead bins. When I finally got seated I noticed there there was a commotion behind me. Seems the 2 luggage jammers were in a group of 5 travelling together who decided to sit together in seats that weren't assigned to them. The flight attendant told them that they couldn't choose any seat they wanted and they gave her a hell of a time. She finally resolved the problem by asking the people whose seats they were in if they minded setting in the seats assigned to the luggage jammers.

They should be been kicked off the plane. Flight attendents do it to crying babies... Why not rude passengers.

Hi, Sorry to read of frustrating experience. Flight attendants have a good deal of discretion in handling these matters, but they do try to smooth things over and keep the flight going on schedule. Perhaps the number of passengers involved led to less tough action on the part of the flight attendants.
