Bush job creation.

Looking at Bureau of Labor Statistics seasonally adjusted numbers for nonfarm jobs (defined as those not involving farm work, general government, private households, or nonprofit organizations serving individuals), in its 8 years (from January 2001 to January 2009), the Bush Administration created 1,950,000 jobs or 20,313/month.

Obama has already created or saved more jobs in a year than Bush created in eight

Still can't comprehend the meaning of "recovery" even after I explained it to you? Wow. I gotta say that is being very Republican stupid. Sorro seems to have had the same problem like your blogger liars. Somehow the point about job RECOVERY becomes total job growth.

Since Recovery is such a foreign concept for Beckerheads Dittoheads and other duped righties we will be up **** creek if Republicans gain any control of congress.

You are the one, while the economy is bleeding jobs, trying to sell it as the "Strongest Jobs Recovery In Decades. Seriously".

Thanks Dr. Chango, it's nice to have facts rather than fables and fabrication for a change.

Boy that is adjusting the keyhole as a fine art form. Who the hell does that leave?

Looking at the broadest measures of civilians employed: The 60 months of the Bush Expansion took the number of employed civilian Americans from 136,521,000 to 146,483,000 a gain of 9,962,000 that's 166,033/mo. Not as strong as we see after periods of high unemployment, but with the quick Bush Action, the unemployment level never went higher than 6.3%.

Once we see recovery this time, with unemployment going as high at 10.1%, hopefully we will see much higher growth rates as the vast numbers of Americans unemployed by Obamanomics, finally return to work. We will probably see a strong pick up after the next election. Regardless of the outcome, we will have a much more conservative Legislative Branch, which generally coincides with much stronger job growth.

The GOP controlled Congress for 144 months and we enjoyed 146,381,944/mo average job creation over this period.

In the 32 months since the Dems took over Congress, we have suffered under 31,000 a month average job creation.

I expect things will pick up after the next election.

why the Democrats are going down in November:

I’m not sure it’s just Obama because he’s not on the ballot. I think it’s about Democrats. Democrats Pelosi and Reid are not very well-liked. The House, the Senate are held in low regard on any of the polls. …

It’s not just that we have a bad economy. That obviously is the framework and the context. It’s not just that they spent all the money on the stimulus and it hasn’t helped.

I think it’s the kind of arrogance and contempt that was shown by the Democrats.

Look, when you had the election in Massachusetts where a Republican wins a Senate seat held by the Kennedys since 1952, it means something. But it was ignored. And after it happened, Democrats shoved a health-care proposal down the throats of the Congress and the people even though it was unpopular, even though the Brown election of Massachusetts largely hinged on that and was a message about it. It was a demonstration of [Democrats saying]: We have an ideology. We won the election in ’08. We’re going to do it, and we don’t care.

And that I think is what stokes the anger of the electorate, and the energy of Republicans. So in the context of a bad economy and with the anger and the energy, its looks like a wave

If Republicans are doing so good, why do you have to lie about economic statistics?

Job creation is curently flopping around on the floor like a dead fish, it's you guys trying to claim its the "Strongest jobs recovery in decades. Seriously".

Looking at the plain facts of the matter, it is clear that the very best job growth for last 17-18 years or so occurred while the GOP controlled congress. The 12 years of GOP congressional control resulted in job growth that exceeded the nearly previous 32 months before they came to power, and wildly exceeded the Pelosi run congress that came to power after the GOP. This is because it is Small Business, especially new start-ups, that create nearly ALL the job growth in this Great Nation that the libs hate. Libs hate small start up business, because that indicates independence and Libs hate freedom. They want a strangle hold on everything, so they can dole it out and take credit for it.

Whether the GOP takes congress and one or both houses or not, the congress after the election will be much more conservative and pro-small, and especially start up business than the current bunch of idiots led by that ghastly stretch-faced clown. I expect the economy will respond with a roar, and in preparation a few weeks back, I already re-arranged my portfolio to catch the wave of prosperity that will erupt after the Nov election.

As it becomes even more clear that the election will result in a strong turn toward the GOP, I expect to see a steady and building wave of solid economic indicators as the Private Sector in this Blessed Nation position for the bright sunshine and the strong steady wind of prosperity that will arise after the Nov election.

It's hard cleaning up after the Worst President Ever after he put us in an 8-million job deficit, but the current polices and direction are far better than any alternative Republicans are offering.

Obama’s rush to spend, regulate, re-engineer, redistribute, and tax have stopped any recovery and are sending us back into recession. In her wonderful book The Forgotten Man, Amity Shlaes notes how FDR’s policies in the late 1930s did the same thing. She notes how the imposition of the Social Security tax in 1937 (benefits did not start until 1941) and the rapid wage hikes that accompanied the passage of the Wagner Act (steel worker wages rose 40% in 1937) sent a recovering nation back into a new depression that lasted until the war started in 1939.

In his haste to re-make America and to bring us the “fundamental change” he promised as he campaigned for president in 2008, Obama has torpedoed the recovery and sent us back into a double dip recession.

The answer is to cut spending back to pre-Obama levels, reduce taxes and eliminate the threat of tax increases, zero fund the changes Obama has legislated in health care (and repeal them in 2013), eliminate the threat of cap-and-tax, and lay the basis for solid economic growth.

We have left the recession that started in 2007 and entered a new recession caused by Obama’s policies.

The Republicans' main complaint is that President Obama hasn't done a good enough job cleaning up Bush's mess.

Full moon for the Cinco de Mayo this year. Listen to the Republicans howl!
