Nobody owns the Senate without 60 votes. No big loss, if it happens.

I'll take the White House plus assorted pickups any day.

Since you don't mind losing the Senate and you want to make sure you keep the Presidency, then the narrow idealogical focus the Dems have adopted makes perfect sense and should work quite well.

Worst-case, Congress remains in the same deadlock, and all the power resides in the White House.

I'll be optimistic and hope that there are some rational Republicans who once they realize that they have failed in their attempt to defeat Obama just might vote in the best interest of the country once in a while. They might just realize that the 13% approval rating could apply to them!

They will. The Democrat Senate hasn't passed a budget in 1,000 days, even though they are required to pass one every year. They simply are not doing their job.

As for a BALANCED Budget? A Democrat Senate hasn't passed a balanced budget since Cher was still married to Sonny and OJ Simpson was a still a Rookie with the Buffulo Bills.

A GOP Senate on the other hand has passed 3 balanced budgets, and within the last 15 years. Besides, the Dems have become an a narrow idealogically rigid party that no longer appeals to the mainstream of American Politics. Sure you can put together a minority of the States and carry the Presidency, by you will not be retaking the House or holding the Senate. For that you would have to reach out to the vast middle, and today's Democrat Party under Obama, simply is incapable of that.

Because of Republican obstructionism. The budget is being kicked down the road pending an agreement on deficit and debt reduction, but the GOP will not compromise on a balanced approach.

Were those from ol' video-diagnosis Dr. Frist? That's easy to do: Intentionally lowball a major expense, in his case the Boob's Iraq adventure, and when it needs to be supplementally funded on a regular basis--just put it on our Bank of China credit card!

As always, with Libs, everything is someone elses fault.

If its the GOP's fault that Democrats haven't passed a balanced budget since the Beetles were still touring, how is it that the GOP managed to balance the budget 4 years in a row, within the last dozen years?

Hey you with the Monkey-face avatar, put down the banana and pay attention. Your post is gibberish and makes absolutely no sense. Do you even have a clue what the hell you are talking about?

The uncompromising, obstructionist Republicans are holding up an agreement on deficit reduction, which in turn is holding up a complete budget.

Darn Pesky Facts

So you believe that 1% represents the mainstream of American Politics? Roll Eyes

Believe this! When Obama wins, it will be, not just by the electoral vote, but also by popular vote!

Again, zorro, better to have a monkey face than to have one's head up the monkey's ass gobbling feces. Apparently eight years of sustenance from W's bowels has left you daft. Just answer the question:
