it's assault under the color of authority .. that's an enhancement isn't it ?? cops hve a greater responsibility to obey the laws than the rest of us .. imo .. they've got the guns and badges .. they need to be lawful in their actions ..

Probly right as usual, Jkat, but it doesn't even need to go that far. I think we can agree that the majority of cops who act honorably and professionally deserve some respect for being cops--while cops who behave like thugs deserve the same justice we portion out to thugs. Zorro and the ilk would rather we give reverence and consideration to the copthugs only when they serve and protect the corporate state.
