On his entire portfolio, he makes 85%, year in and year out. Are Libs flippin retards or somethin?

He will simply say the same thing every rich Lib says: "I wish the rate was higher". And, "If the Congress puts a bill on my desk raising the rate, I'll sign it." You can't swing a dead cat over your head without a 10 rich guys saying they want their taxes raised, so what the hell, raise 'em. Then again, the Libs had a supermajority in both houses and the Presidency, and never put a bill on the President's desk to raise the rates, so that chance that such a bill would actually land on his desk is slim to none. If Reid and Pelosi wouldn't put one one the President's desk, why think McConnel and The Orange One would?

Regardless of the law, Willard and the rest of the Super Rich should pay higher taxes. The law should be changed. Willard, in fact, proposes policies that would cut his current low taxes in half again. Obama fights for the middle class. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Obama is the one that signed the current tax cuts back into law. Tell it to him! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it.." --Al Gore, Vice President

They had an opportunity to just let the current tax breaks expire. But instead both the Dem house and the Dem Senate and the Obama repassed the Bush Taxcuts. Now they are demanding the GOP repeal them? Its almost like they are friggin idiots or somethin.

Those not paying their fair share are ripping us off with their phony excuses for giving tax breaks to the rich. Yep, as one avoiding taxes here by stashing overseas the fortunes he made here. I sure don't want somebody like that for President. That is the level of your justification? "Get a grip" and "Life isn't fair"? That doesn't even come up to the level of a bad excuse. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In a time of universal deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

The Willards of the world write the tax laws. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “I’m not familiar precisely with exactly what I said, but I stand by what I said, whatever it was.” ---Willard

Uh, you're serious? You think the 35% tax is on the full amount? If so, you'd have $71.50, not $65. The full amount is $110, not $100. Your math is wrong. But, far more important, the tax isn't on the capital. It's on the income produced by the capital. So only your $10 profit is taxed; if that's at the highest possible rate, you'll have $106.50 when you bring your money back to the U. S., not $71.50. Plus that tax can be offset by taxes paid abroad. And the 35% rate is the maximum possible rate; often the actual rate is less. Anyway, your math and your understanding of the issue is completely wrong. Jeff

That kind of begs the question. Who writes the tax laws, and who are they written to benefit? (No-brainer alert) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.” ― Frank Zappa

As usual, zorro can't even get the math right. Romney should pay taxes at a higher rate -- a MUCH higher rate -- because he can afford it. If he was making $5 million a year instead of $20 million a year, would he be missing any meals? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Don't Say Say "Obama's Predecessor," if you absolutely have to.
