Romney admitted blind trusts are a "ruse."

quote:
Romney was himself once skeptical of the notion that a politician could use a blind trust to preempt inevitable questions about his investment choices and potential conflicts. When he ran against Sen. Edward Kennedy in 1994, Romney spoke critically of Kennedy's claim that he had no control over his investments. "The blind trust is an age-old ruse," Romney told the Boston Globe at the time. But in 2003, as he prepared to take office as governor of Massachusetts, Romney placed his family's funds in his own blind trust to avoid whatever accusations could surface.

The real liar exposed

Hypocrisy, thy name is Willard.

Funny, though, how the particulars of the 'blind trust' now make themselves known BFM (By F***in' Magic)

Even the NYT has admitted the obvious. Romney is a man of high integrity and virtue that has not only paid every cent owed in taxes, he has gone above and beyond and PAID MORE THAN REQUIRED.

I demand a retraction, that both of you donate to his campaign and volenteer to make phone calls on his behalf!

Romney knows where every penny of his is invested. He himself said that blind trusts are a "ruse." Was he lying then, or now?

Then and onlt then will you be cleans from your scurrilous charges against a man of high integrity that even the NYTimes admits not only paid every penny owed, but went beyond and paid even MORE than required by law.

I'm not surprised though. The LDS Church requires that ten percent of the gross income go to charity, and we can see, Mitt went above and beyond this and gave 15% to the Church and another 15% to various charities. This is a man that goes above and beyond as a matter of virtue, so I'm unsurprised that he not only paid every penny owed, but even paid MORE than the law demanded. That is simply the kind of man he is.

Yesterday in the debate Romney said all his investments are in a blind trust. That's a lie. Some are, some aren't.

Romney also said yesterday that anyone who paid a dollar more than he had to in taxes shouldn't be a candidate for president.

Let's not pretend that the errors on his tax returns were anything more than blunders by him and his staff. If they weren't, by his own standards he shouldn't be running for president.

Romney's contributions to his church were used to campaign against proposition 8 in California among other things. I respect the Mormon church for its charities, but funds spent for politics shouldn't be exempt from taxes for Mormons or anyone else. This is a huge loophole in the tax laws. But that's a separate issue...

Oh now I see why you continue to slander Romney even though everyone nows he paid every dime owed and then some, despite your wild charges of "lies" "hidden accounts" and so forth.

Are you a hater?

Are you an ANTI-MORMON BIGOT?

Is that your problem there, Comp Guy?

Bill Frist had a so-called blind trust. It turned out to have been a one-eyed trust.

In the country of blind trusts, the one-eyed trust is king.

Do you lie about and slander Romney simply because he is a Mormon?

Give zorro a break. He's finally learned how to spell Mormon. Now he needs to work on the distinction between slander and libel.

He also has to distinguish between truth and lies.

He has a hard time with that one for sure.

I don't have a problem with any church pushing a political view, endorsing candidates, funding groups for or against legislation. But those activities shouldn't be funded from tax-free contributions. Churches run laundromats, dry cleaners--have many non-charitable activities. Those activities shouldn't be funded from tax-free contributions either. Nor should profits earned from such activities be tax-free.

How is it a wild charge to say that Romney's 2007 and 2011 FEC filings omitted accounts that should have been listed and omitted interest payments that should have been listed? Romney's admitted that and is changing those filed forms.

When you flail around like that Zorro, you look ridiculous.

To claim Romney didn't pay all of his taxes? Why yes it is. Even the NY Times admits he not only paid every dime owed, he paid more than he owed. This is like the biggest backslap into your Mormon hating face that one could imagine.

Driven by your hate you charge out with the wild accusations complete with mind reading about why he did this and how he hid that, and when the dust settles, we find that he paid every time owed, plus more, and that you are just another hateful person blinded by your anti-Mormon bigotry.

WOW What an army of Straw Men. Where has anybody claimed Romney didn't pay all his taxes? I don't see any such thing.

Romeny paid all the 13.7% he was required to pay on his $20 million.

The question is if that is fair.

Not in my book it isn't.

According to Politifact, 41% of the statements Romney has made on the campaign trail are untruthful.

Romney said to day that Newt outspent him in SC. In fact, Romney outspent Newt 2 to 1.

Is there anything this stuffed suit will not say or do to try become President?

Any lie too big or small?
