Newt Slams Obama: No More Bowing to the Saudi King!

Newt Gingrich slams Obama:
quote:

“I want America to become so energy independent that no American president ever again bows to the Saudi king.”

Newt went on to bash the Obama Administration over the Keystone Decision.

“An American president who can create a Chinese-Canadian partnership is truly a danger to this country.”
...
Here’s a terrific comment from SKinner on tonight’s results:

This is a great outcome for all Republicans. I am a Romney supporter but I LOVE this result.

Newt staying in the game benefits all of us wanting the best candidate in place to beat Obama.

It keeps Romney on his toes to sharpen his message and be bolder in future debates with Newt.

It keeps Newts in the game to do the same, and to keep hammering the media and slapping them about and drilling Obama non stop verbally.

It also gives the other States real opportunity to help select the nominee, making sure the candidates continue to spread their message and sharpen the focus on Obama.

It also forces the media and the Obama campaign to split their efforts and their focus on to two or more candidates for longer than expected.

Well done Newt!

I shall vote for the last man standing that competes with Obama.

This is GOOD news, a good outcome that bodes well for selecting the best nominee whom by then shall be well tested and ready to face Obama.

Thank you South Carolina!
...
Newt was outspent in South Carolina 2-1 if you include Mitt Romney’s Super-PAC.

What's Newt's position on hand-holding with the Saudi king?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Republicans' main complaint is that President Obama hasn't done a good enough job cleaning up Bush's mess.
No French kissing involved.
And you won't find the Saudi king at Tommy's Country Ham House.
Now you're originally from Texas, where they barbecue beef with mesquite and have their own ideas about the sauce. In South Carolina they use that mustard based yellow sauce.
that's true .. my first love is barbecued beef brisket with the molasses based sauce ... but i have been able to tolerate the deep south sauces ..whether mustard or vinegar based ... the mustard and vinegar based sauces do well with pork .. i think they do not so well with beef .. as a matter of fact it's hard to find barbecued beef in say .. georgia .. south carolina .. it's all pork ...
and fried fatback is a regular feature on buffets thereabouts as well ... what can i say .. those who prefer mustard-vinegar sauces also like deep fried fatback ..
whose judgement you going to trust here ?? LOL-2!   :lol2:
"Hear the Roar and Pay Attention"
quote:
where did the crowd roar? They roared when some premise of liberalism or some particular liberal was taken apart. No Republican on Republican crime was rewarded. Even Mitt, no favorite of the red meat crowd, got his loudest moments when he finally decided to support capitalism with some fervor.
Newt of course got the big reaction over the week by attacking liberal members of the media who were either attacking conservative beliefs on the whole (Juan Williams and the race card) or protecting Obama by attacking Republicans' personal lives (John King).
The math is clear. While negative ads can be effective if run in huge numbers -- as in Iowa -- what the voters are craving in the debates and on the stump is someone who can look liberals squarely in the eye and tell them why we are right and they are wrong. The American conservative base has had to put up with being called stupid, racist, greedy and unfair for decades by not only the Democrats but the vast majority of the media. The pent up frustration of these decades is magnified by the fact that George H. W. Bush, Bob Dole, George W. Bush and John McCain would not or perhaps could not confront this.
In fact, rare is the Republican candidate at any level who refuses to put up with this and fights back. When they do, they become sensations. Even Chris Christie and Donald Trump -- neither one a real conservative -- earned the love of the Republican base by simply deigning to fight back. Marco Rubio and Allen West are far more popular and well known than they have any right to be simply because they refuse to accept the argument on liberals' terms. They fight. They elicit the roar.
Go most any place in TX that isn't a pre-made fast food restaurant and order a cheeseburger and it's gonna come w/ mustard on it.
Mustard? On my cheeseburger? Gah! :gah:
I like mustard on cheeseburgers.
My ex was from Texas. Apparently they don't have Krystal or White Castle hamburgers there. She couldn't believe the puny little hamburgers. 'Course there's an easy solution. Order 4 or 5 of 'em.
My friend, backgammon superstar Paul Weaver, usedta go into the Krystal and say loudly, "Where's your menu"? They'd point to the top wall. Then he'd say, "Now just what does this famous Krystal hamburger look like"?
Is this some kind of Northeast coast thing? I hate mayo on hamburgers.
It might be a Northeast thang... I've found Northeast and California is fine w/ mayo on burgers and neither coast seems to presume to know what condiments I want on my burger.
I will say that servers around Central Texas are pretty good about holding back their gag reflex when I order my cheeseburgers w/ extra cheese, mayo, ketchup, and no veggies except for a slice of raw onion. (I'll do lettuce and tomato when I do burgers at home, but at most restaurants the lettuce is shredded too thinly so it wilts upon contact w/ a sizzling burger and it's often tinged w/ brown spots and the tomatoes are tasteless.) It's the request for mayo that turns 'em green every time.
The Sonic chain drive-in restaurant (where I've rarely EVER had a decent meal, but the Gentle Giant loves it) introduced a burger w/ mayo on it several years ago, based on the fact that it was serving a larger Northeast- and California-roots clientèle, according to a Sonic manager I know, so yeah, mayo & beef are probably a coast thing.
And Jean's right... mustard is for hot dogs, w/ cheese and sweet relish, unless you're at a Sabrett pushcart, and then it's onion sauce alllll the way. And if you're originally a Joisy goil, you order your Sabrett onion sauce, Taylor Ham, Drake's Funny Bones -and- scrapple (all unavailable in any local retail outlet in Central Texas Frown   :() from a Joisy joint.
Never.
Ketchup and mustard together? NFW. One is sweet, the other savory. IMO they cancel one another out w/ a dose of vinegar left on the palate. :yuk:
Interesting side note... both the words hamburger and frankfurter are German in origin.
I'm in several minds about this. With a hot dog, I'll have either catsup or mustard, unless I'm having the dog with cheese. Then it becomes catsup only. For bratwurst, however, only mustard. Unless I'm eating it with curry and pommes frites, then it's catsup. With bockwurst, though, it's gotta be mustard and a Brötchen roll.
Sorry if all this sounds confusing. Wink   ;)
One thing I saw a lot of in Germany was people eating pommes frites with mayo. Yech.
