as is the Whitehouse lying about it.

Saying the White House lied about Obama's greeting of the Saudi King is a lie.

Repeating your lie more than once or twice is spam, as well as proof that you & your ilk believe the more you repeat a lie, the more true it is.

You -do- know who perfected the "repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth" tactic, aka the Big Lie propaganda strategy, don'cha?

This doesn't surprise the rest of us.

Let me look at the tape again. Yup he bowed. Any insight as to why the Whitehouse lied about it?

Here is a nice picture verifying the bow

No need for the Whitehouse to continue lying about it.

... Another famous Chicagoan, President Barack Obama, made it official with a proclamation on June 3, 2011 while visiting one of the Rudy’s Hot Dog stands in Toledo, OH. ... Nobody drove home the point more profoundly that Dirty Harry. In the film "Sudden Impact", Clint Eastwood, playing San Francisco detective Harry Callahan, a.k.a. Dirty Harry, appearing at a crime scene, blows his top while watching a cop munching on a hot dog: "Nah, this stuff isn't getting to me, the shootings, the knifings, the beatings, old ladies being bashed in the head for their social security checks... Nah, that doesn't bother me. But you know what does bother me? You know what makes me really sick to my stomach? It's watching you stuff your face with those hot dogs. Nobody, I mean nobody puts ketchup on a hot dog."

In another film, the 2005 remake of the movie Bad News Bears, Tanner Boyle declares "My dad says the only people who put ketchup on hot dogs are mental patients, and Texans." ...

And Tony Bourdain's take on hot dogs w/ ketchup?

When I was playing bridge on the now defunct MSN Zone interactive bridge site .....(Oh what fun it was!)....I enjoyed playing with a delightfully funny woman from B'ham Alabama. Somehow, thanks to the vagaries of internet conversation, we discovered we ordered our Wendy's hamburgers the same way. HTMXO. We started a club and used it as a password. It created all sorts of envy and confusion.

It means "Hold the mayo extra onions."

You'd be surprised at how many members we eventually found.

Love Krystals. I've tried to make healthier ones at home...and NO KETSUP on hot dogs.

Peachy

Just one of the reasons I own a small jar of Hellmann's (Best Foods when on the left coast) Mayo... I have no shame in carrying mayo to friend's, neighbor's, stranger's homes.

I made about eight quarts of potato salad for a block party the first year I was here... you'd have thought I'd laced it w/ cocaine the way it disappeared and the raves about it got just a tich embarrassing. My secret? No mustard or celery in the potato salad. Evah. Shrug

A burger isn't just a burger and Alton Brown proved it last night on
GOOD EATS. He cooked up those little square burgers like White Castle. We don't have White Castle in the South but we do have the Krystals which are similar. They come with onion and mustard and you can get cheese. That is the only variation. Do White Castles come with mayo?

He showed us how to make them flat and square and the only dressing was mayo which surprised me a bit. He said that a thin layer of mayo kept the grease from saturating the bun. I was wondering what was wrong with that. Krystals buns are so soggy they just slide right down your throat, unless the dog grabs it out of your hand.

Jkat...I concur about ketsup on scrambled eggs. GAAK!

I also agree with CJ on the Hellmann's. That's the ONLY mayo!

I was in my early teens before I ever had Hellmann's... the day I came home and asked my Mom if she'd buy it (in addition to, not instead of my family's preferred Miracle Whip) you'd have thought I'd arrived home on the back of a Harley, with a set of colors on m' back.

Oh wait, I did that too. LOL!

Anyway, I never used Miracle Whip again.

Side note... I was always fine with mayo being used as an ingredient in recipes... even the ones where they had folks using it in place of egg/milk before rolling chicken in breadcrumbs.

But I have to admit I am stopped in m'tracks when I even think about chocolate cake made w/ mayo.

Urp :urp:

I've heard of the chocolate cake made w/mayo.

Baked fish:

Coat a filet with a mixture of Hellman's, chopped green onions, parmesan cheese and lemon juice. Bake for 30 minutes.

Yum!

Don't be afraid, CJ. That cake is moist, holds well, and delicious. Think about the ingredients in a good mayo and it's easy to understand how it works - mayo adds oil and eggs to the cake batter. Smile :)
