I don't tolerate racism. I won't tolerate religious whackos telling us to not teach evolution in the classrooms. I'm in favor of strict gun control. I salute gay marriages and demand that they be allowed in every state. I'm totally in favor of a one-payer system for healthcare and I'm totally against what is popularly known as "Obamacare." I'm sickened how the Bush administration destroyed decades of valuable research by outlawing embryonic stem cell research. I'm sickened how our once great country has farmed out jobs overseas. I'm totally against NAFTA. I'm totally in favor of the death penalty. I'm revulsed by the same Dick Armies and Orange-boy Boehners who revulse you. I believe the media and the Supreme Court have become an instrument of the republicans. I believe that important news in our country is being diverted constantly to meaningless distractions. I'm totally anti-corporation. And I totally believe that those miners who were rescued in Chile after 69 days were way too healthy looking and fat - and that our news agencies have devoted more energy to their plight than to what's going on with our own soldiers in Afghanistan. I've lost my faith in our system of government and in our justice system. And I despise the welfare state and the complacency of our government which allows it to happen. So, I might not be liberal enough for you, but I'm plenty liberal enough for me. And I certainly don't need YOU to tell me what's revenge and what isn't. Your desire to keep people in an inhumane prison cell for the rest of their miserable lives is certainly no better than the death penalty. And in many ways, it's worse. Maybe I'm the one who's decent here.

IMO, there is no rehab for those who perp this kind of deed. They are predators, like a fox or a wolf or a hawk, and they can't be fixed--it is their nature. Too bad for them, but we have to protect ourselves against their ilk...IMO. This is why we allow the death penalty under our justice system...caught redhanded in the act, confessed...what is the issue?

Gawd, we think it can't happen to us, here, in our safe little place, but as the system of justice breaks down, for lack of money, and for too much leniency for these kinds of perps, we are all at risk.

This creature should never have been set upon our society. Shame on those who defend the lives of this kind of creature...

Judge Jon Blue told Komisarjevsky, 31, that he alone was to blame for his new address on death row after the triple murders of Jennifer Hawke-Petit, 48, and her daughters Hayley Petit, 17, and Michaela Petit, 11, and beating of husband and father Dr. William Petit Jr.

"This is a terrible sentence but one you have written for yourself," Blue told Komisarjevsky in New Haven Superior Court.

"Your crime was one of unimaginable horror and sadness," the judge said. "Your fate is now in the hands of others. May God have mercy on your soul."

He set an execution date of July 20 pending an appeal, which could drag out the matter for years.
