This is exactly how I feel. You have no idea how many lives these monsters ruined when they ruined Dr Petit's.

He doesn't practice anymore, and will never again, and he was a very, very good doctor. His former patients aren't doing so well without him.

Their lives are ruined too. And the perps ask for leniency? Hell no!

I just saw where that horrible woman in florida who most likely killed her beautiful baby girl and told her mother the smell in her trunk was from a rotted pizza is FINALLY going to trial after all these years. I hope they steam her, too.

HARTFORD, Conn. — A Connecticut legislative leader says there are not enough votes to repeal the state's death penalty this session.

Senate President Donald Williams said Friday the bill lacks enough support after two lawmakers said they would not support repeal this session after meeting with Dr. William Petit, the lone survivor of a 2007 Cheshire home invasion in which his wife and two daughters were killed.

Whatever. I've read some of your stuff about other people on this bb and that seems like revenge to me. My "revenge" has to do with my sense of social justice.

You might not believe this, Koka, but I'm actually amazingly liberal about a lot of stuff. For example, I think Obama is a bassturd for not using his bully pulpit to overturn "don't ask don't tell." I don't tolerate racism. I won't tolerate religious whackos telling us to not teach evolution in the classrooms. I'm in favor of strict gun control. I salute gay marriages and demand that they be allowed in every state. I'm totally in favor of a one-payer system for healthcare and I'm totally against what is popularly known as "Obamacare." I'm sickened how the Bush administration destroyed decades of valuable research by outlawing embryonic stem cell research. I'm sickened how our once great country has farmed out jobs overseas. I'm totally against NAFTA. I'm totally in favor of the death penalty. I'm revulsed by the same Dick Armies and Orange-boy Boehners who revulse you. I believe the media and the Supreme Court have become an instrument of the republicans. I believe that important news in our country is being diverted constantly to meaningless distractions. I'm totally anti-corporation. And I totally believe that those miners who were rescued in Chile after 69 days were way too healthy looking and fat - and that our news agencies have devoted more energy to their plight than to what's going on with our own soldiers in Afghanistan. I've lost my faith in our system of government and in our justice system. And I despise the welfare state and the complacency of our government which allows it to happen. So, I might not be liberal enough for you, but I'm plenty liberal enough for me. And I certainly don't need YOU to tell me what's revenge and what isn't. Your desire to keep people in an inhumane prison cell for the rest of their miserable lives is certainly no better than the death penalty. And in many ways, it's worse. Maybe I'm the one who's decent here.

Holy Bhagworm

No, Victor--the pedophile, komis. He saw what he wanted at the supermarket, followed her home, and recruited his stupid friend, Hayes, to distract the family while he took her innocence and then, her life--and of course, the family had to be offed, also--witnesses, you know, and victims...

Hell surely holds a tortuous place for people like him...in a perfect world...never once did he exhibit a bit of remorse or sorrow for his heinous act, and his bloodsucking lawyers tried to blame the victims...may they rot in the torturous place, along with him and his ilk.

Heaven surely holds a place for saints like the Petits...they have showed so much grace thru their pain and adversity. The are not looking for vengeance or blood lust--they have *our* perfect justice system to rely on--nothing can ever bring back the topnotch loved-ones they lost...that we lost, all of us, for surely, they would have gone on to be a great benefit to our society...

They'll be working on tweaking it to give victims more rights, because currently, the skew is toward the creeps, not the righteous. I fully support them in their cause of victim's rights...

Are you on board? Checkout the Petit Foundation.

Victor, they are a tight family and they will have what they have this Christmas, and every Christmas from here on out.

I can't imagine it will be jolly, although, if you look carefully, there are some dear smiles, and a bit of cheer. I imagine that is because they have, still, each other, and a goal, and a job to do...

I want what our system of justice allows for people who did what was done to the Petit family, Zoot.

What do you want for them?

When asked the question, "Why do you want them killed, Mr Petit; they will die in prison, anyhow..." he answered that our system allows it, and that is what our society deserves--the best that our justice allows.

He also noted that the scales are skewed in favor of perps and he's going to dedicate his life to making sure the victims have equal rights. In order for justice to prevail, he had to zip his lips, in fear that his heartfelt comments would tip the scale in favor of those who so sadistically took away those he loves.

The perp's lawyers pulled every last morsel of crap outta their asses to "save" their client. they brought in the perp's young daughter to testify...she doesn't even know the perp is her dad...she called him josh, and beleived he was her uncle, or somesuch. What kind of crap is that to subject a kid to?

Have you watched Dr Petit's statements? Have you seen his grace, and that of his family, and his wife's family--have you noted their humility? Do you feel for what he's lost?

Do you realize this perp was convicted of 19 burglaries, many of them committed while the victims were at home, sleeping? He cased before, while the families were away, but wanted to commit his crimes while he could touch his victims while they slept...

One judge called him a dangerous predator. Once, always...

Why do you defend his life?

Zoot, it serves me well if this perp has no hopes of ever leaving prison outside a body bag.

What if it was your wife, your kids, your grandkids? You'd plead for the creep's life? why?

BTW, the komis relatives who showed up in the courtroom, it was revealed today, were there in support of the Petit family, not for their own...I'm with them.

If you can stomach it, here's the audio confession ... it's two parts (part two being especially revolting), and I doubt very much that any of you can listen to even part one, but here it is...and this man deserves to live? Why?

This wasn't a hit-or-miss common burglary. This family was tortured for hours, tied, untied, moved, forced into this and that...this wasn't an accidental incident...this was a planned, brutal, violent crime against very decent human beings.

How any of you can argue for this miscreant's life is far beyond anything I can fathom.

With that many, he shouldn't have been out of prison.

Victor, the state screwed up. His previous convictions were not found out in a timely manner, and the judge's comment about him being a dangerous predator were not known when he was sent to a halfway house after his last release, for "rehab."

IMO, there is no rehab for those who perp this kind of deed. They are predators, like a fox or a wolf or a hawk, and they can't be fixed--it is their nature. Too bad for them, but we have to protect ourselves against their ilk...IMO. This is why we allow the death penalty under our justice system...caught redhanded in the act, confessed...what is the issue?

Gawd, we think it can't happen to us, here, in our safe little place, but as the system of justice breaks down, for lack of money, and for too much leniency for these kinds of perps, we are all at risk.

This creature should never have been set upon our society. Shame on those who defend the lives of this kind of creature...

I agree with you 100%. You may not believe this, but there was a time when I didn't believe in the death penalty. That was long ago though. Heinous crimes weren't as common as they are today. I'm actually still against unless there is absolutely no doubt a person committed such a crime.

I don't give a fly F**k what other people think. People want to kill for kicks, then they don't deserve to live. Besides, if they had a life, then they wouldn't be killing.

Completely with you there, Victor, but that's not the case here,

His barristers tried to argue that he was sexually abused by a foster-sibling, and that his parents didn't get him the shrinky-help he needed, but ya know, I know plenty of people who were initiated into sex by an older pseudo-sibling, and whose parents didn't give them the kind of attention they needed, and they had hallalujah choruses blaring in the background...but they didn't decide to do this kind of deed...

He chose it. He had a choice. He did what he did. He didn't have to...he didn't have a mandate...no marching orders...choice. Bad one, for sure...

They couldn't just rob them? No. They had to rape and kill them. I have no sympathy for these kinds of people.

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut (Reuters) - A judge ordered Joshua Komisarjevsky to be executed this summer for the 2007 murders of a mother and her two daughters during a brutal home invasion in Connecticut, saying on Friday that he committed a crime of "unimaginable horror."

Judge Jon Blue told Komisarjevsky, 31, that he alone was to blame for his new address on death row after the triple murders of Jennifer Hawke-Petit, 48, and her daughters Hayley Petit, 17, and Michaela Petit, 11, and beating of husband and father Dr. William Petit Jr.

"This is a terrible sentence but one you have written for yourself," Blue told Komisarjevsky in New Haven Superior Court.

"Your crime was one of unimaginable horror and sadness," the judge said. "Your fate is now in the hands of others. May God have mercy on your soul."

He set an execution date of July 20 pending an appeal, which could drag out the matter for years.
