I'm a little hesitant about the "next Tiger" moniker. Nightmares of Harold "Baby Jordan" Miner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Going to war without the French is like going hunting without an accordion."

Yeah, that's like the kiss of death, isn't it? I will say, though, that the young man has mad talent and a nearly flawless golf swing. If he can continue to putt like he did at Congressional after a meeting with flat stick guru, Dave Stockton, the sky's the limit. The game played at that level ALWAYS comes down to putting. That said, Congressional was a benign test as US Opens go. Too much rain made the greens so soft that the players could go at flags. Rory threw darts at those tight pin placements that under more typical Open setups wouldn't have allowed for that. Winning wire to wire is not a fluke, though. I'm just saying that it wasn't a true US Open test. Win consistently 6-9 times a years playing 18 tournaments and then we'll have a conversation about the next Tiger. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "There is almost artistic vulgarity in Gingrich's unrepented role as a hired larynx for interests profiting from such government follies as ethanol and cheap mortgages" -- George Will
