Over the last year or two I been seeing more media coverage about food trucks both good and bad and even have a favorite food truck that I buy food from, that makes phillipino style burgers and hot dogs.
Has anybody else bought food food from a food truck?

 
Austin has a LOT of 'em... some stationary, but most that travel, and they're very popular here. Some have very traditional foods (burgers, pizza, Mexican, etc.) but most are out & about with their specialties. Marketing is often done via tweets or text messaging.

I think they're great.

The Gulf coast, especially where a lotta post-Katrina rebuilding is going on, is a significant hot spot for these travelling food trucks.
