It’s difficult to discern whether Red Lobster’s new lobster and waffles is crafting a parody or paying homage to the southern-style comfort food staple. But they’ve definitely drawn people’s attention.

Announced Monday as part of the Lobsterfest limited-time menu, Red Lobster’s new lobster and waffles mixes seafood chic with the pizazz of a caloric hangover cure.

For $19.99, the iconic seafood chain will be offering fried Maine lobster on waffles made with its Cheddar Bay Biscuit Batter and covered in maple syrup.

That is disgusting.

The Red Lobster is disgusting.

Their specials are pricey frozen farmed seafood usually swimming in either cheap oil or Velveeta..

We ate there recently when we had to go out of town to a shopping center for Christmas shopping. We have no shopping center in F'ville.

After many years we decided to try Red Lobstah again based on their attractive advertising. We will not fall for that again.

URP- GAAK

At least we have have an excuse, we live inland.

If I lived in Florida Id be eating grouper and red snapper fresh from the sea that day - Longustina in season.

I've never eaten at Red Lobster. Many years ago, we were going to try it, but the waiting lines were out the door and around the parking lot. We never went back. Thanks for the "review" Dixie (we won't ever try going there now)!

A former neighbor was a commercial fisherman. He used to bring us black sea bass, tautog, and monk fish several times a month (those were the only species in which we were interested. We miss you, Bruce!

We were in Virginia beach last September and had a wonderful meal (snapper) at Waterman's. Memorable.

I want to go back but it's too far....!
