Hi Andy

I missed your introduction.
Welcome to Antsy.
I would like a tall glass of iced tea please, unsweetned and made with those tiny little tea leaves.
Then I think I will have Sweedish Crepes with linden berry syrup and butter. <G>

Andy -

I'm not really sure about the Swedish Crepes thing... I'd have to ask Pheebs to be certain...

However, whatever Pheebs wants, Pheebs gets!

No way Andy...

Nothing sticks around in my fridge or freezer long enough to become a science experiment... especially when the whole gang is here... and everyone will tell you it's the "honest to Gawd truth" that I had to put a lock on the liquor cabinet 'cause RskyBiz wiped me out... Roll Eyes

You've gotta be cleaning out somebody else's fridge... but I'm sure they'll appreciate it! Looks like you're doing a great job! Smile-Big :D

well is'nt this a sight for sore eyes and mmm, what the heck is cookin? If you please, I'd like to start off with some banana/strawberry waffles and I am thinking a pina colada to go with.

I see I got here a little early, dining alone but ohh, the food is so worth the solitary eating.

I'll just be here hanging out, eating my fill and listening to the fine tunes. glad to be back. Thanks Lori. Cassie

Swedish Crepes/pancakes are very thin pancakes. One wonderful way to eat them is to melt butter on them then sprinkle them with brown sugar, add fresh strawberries and then whipped cream, ahhhh heavenly.

(I case you wonder, I am half Swedish)

I would like some of them and a large cup coffee along with some OJ and a side of bacon please!

Andy, you're doing a wonderful job!

Hey Andy, I get my Swedish Crepe's at IHOP so I dunno how they make them.
I saw a show on HGTV one time about the berries [lingen?] and they come from Alaska.
IHOP has some lingen berry syrup. I dunno how they get them for the butter.
Anyway, Belgium Waffles are fine. I like the sweet and savory ones. Chicken Ala King on one side and strawberries and whipped cream on the other.
Do you think you can do that Andy?

Teng, I have a best friend who is Swedish. I don't get to see her anymore though. I knew her when we lived in Saudi. She lives in England and we have visited her twice, but I think our traveling days are over now. Plane ones that is.
Anyway, we met her Mother in Stockholm when we did the Eurorail trip for a month in the 80's. That was fun. She took us to see that ship in wax and to a smorgasbord which I had requested. I didn't know it was all this fishy stuff. Retch. I hate fish. Especially all that raw looking stuff. But we had fun and she took us to her apartment. When we left it the sun was still shining, but when we looked at our watches to our horror it was 11:30PM! We got to see that midnight sun but worried we over stayed our welcome as she had to work the next day. We thought it was around 7 or 8 PM.
Stockholm is really a nice place.

Hello there MG, good to see ya seated at Loris Chicken and Waffles again.

The food is fantastic but the people are what make this place click. I love to come have a seat and chat while I sip my drink and nibble on goodies.

We need to send flyers out to our missing patrons, perhaps they thought we were closed due to the frosty weather?

Hope all is well with ya. Godbless, Cassie

Pheebs,
there is a restaurant in Door County Wisconsin that is Called "Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant" It is an interesting place to eat, they serve lingen berrys with every meal and I found them very tasty. Wink ;)

This place really attracts attention because it has a thatched roof and when the weather is nice, they have the goats up there. Everyone stops to take a picture!

Mike,
It is and you can get a big meal for a little money. That pleases all the cheapskates in the group.

I am incharge of my church's singles retreat up there every May. This is my 9th year in charge. Last year the weather in May was nice enough for the goats to be out. It is fun to watch people stop and stare at them. The cherry blossoms were also blooming.

With your love for nature and the great outdoors you would really enjoy the area, Michael, off season isn't too expensive and there are a number of state parks to camp in. FYI

That sounds so nice Teng. It is a shame we live so far from Wisconson. I have always wanted to visit there. I love cheese and cows. <G>
Now I am missing this neat place to eat the berries and pet the goats!

Tengie,

I haven't been in Milwaukee for some time (I think it was in the late 70's). My grandmother's favorite sister lived there and I went to take her some clothes for a cruise that she and her sister decided to go on at the last minute. My great-aunt's son-in-law was a county circuit judge for Milwaukee County (Pat Madden). I have not been there since! Cry
