was a puzzle sort of thing, on a website... where you proceeded from level to level, and the thing was to figure out on each page how to get to the next page. Each page had a little trick or catch to it, even the first one was a mystery.

I'm doing a horrible job describing it, I know, but I think you know the one I mean?

I don't remember it being online. I remember it being on sheets of paper stapled together.

Maybe I'm thinking of another game?

There's another one, John... not quite as difficult... think of it as a primer for Weffriddles... give it a shot: Destination:Elsewhere.

Ah. Well, I got somewhere into level 4 before I couldn't do it anymore.

It was fun while it lasted, even though some levels lasted waaaaaaaaaay longer than I would have liked. Wink ;)

It requires intense sideways thinking... like in the yahoo news the other day there was a list of strange interview questions. One of them was how can a cake be sliced into eight equal parts using only three cuts? But it started to get into areas where local knowledge of the University of Cincinnati was useful.

But what if the icing is only on the top, without a layer of it in the middle?

Then clearly, completely equal 8ths are impossible.
Unless you scrape off the layer of icing on the top.
                  LOL

Cut twice= 4 parts. Pile the four parts one on top of the other, slice through all 4 = eight even parts.

Course, that'd be a messy damn cake-cuttin' experience...

Well, it's always less messy on paper. Like nuclear physics.

Yeah, but eating the results isn't nearly as much fun when it's a paper exercise. Wink ;)
