Whoever we are theses days --Eve, LiveCloud, Social Strata-- has been preparing for a data center move.
Apparently some of the prep work being done to facilitate the move had caused, or uncovered, some instabilities.
What I've noted, on bad days, includes:

Sometimes... I have to LOGIN despite having already logged in several times today, and despite never having logged out.
Sometimes... when I LOGIN in, the LOGIN goes fine; other times it sits there grinding away until I get a time-out message.

This morning, I have been trying to log into Aantares for more than three hours... I clicked the LOG IN link, and it always takes the next page more than 15 seconds to completely LOAD, Then I enter my email address and password, so that "LIVE CLOUD" will allow me entry to Aantares... that where the trouble lies.
When I click the LOGIN button, it just "sits there" and after about five minutes it finally serves up an ERROR page (telling me, quite simply, that LIVE CLOUD is unavailable and to TRY AGAIN LATER.
IMO: "LIVE CLOUD" needs to get their **** together... because even when I can successfully LOG IN ... it takes WAY TOO LONG (considering the page that finally gets loaded, contains more than 40 elements which have to be "served up" and the HTML coding itself is only about 27 KB ... I'm on a broadband Internet connection ... this shouldn't take more than a few milliseconds... that is, if their routers and servers are worth anything at all!
This is happening with my IE, Firefox and Mozilla.
Sometimes... forum pages are taking 30-60 seconds to load; about 1/3 of the time the page doesn't load at all, giving an error message about "circuits" or some such... about 1/3 of the time the page loads but not completely (it'll display 25% of the page and then just stop) even though my IE 8 status bar indicates 'Done'; the rest of the time the page loads fine.
Sometimes... I can't get to my site at all.
Sometimes... about 50% of the time I can't post anything... when I can get a POST or REPLY composition screen to finally (after 15-30 seconds) show up, about 50% of the time when I hit the POST button, I'm given the message that my site isn't available.
I know ya'll are having intermittent outages/issues, but I just had to vent... and who knows, mebbe this'll help my site and others on my server per that ol' knowledge is power thingy.
Apparently last week they applied a hotfix, found it to be good, and then rolled it out to all the affected sites on all the affected servers on Friday, 06/25/10... this essentially solved the problems we've been experiencing.
